You should visit the blog Child of the Moon. She has by far the most comprehensive style icon picture postings that I have seen. If you want an extensive archive of images on Patti Smith, Debbie Harry, Anna Karina, and plenty more – go there NOW. You can tell she poured through hundreds of images before posting a very well edited batch and bio for each icon. Nostalgia is nice.

I am on a mini-vacation in Hallandale Beach before I venture on a long vacation. The bathroom wallpaper is butter cream with palm trees. Oh so South Florida. I am in my hotel room taking advantage of the complimentary internet access and mapping out a game plan for tomorrow morning.

My man is lucky that most charity shops are closed on Sunday because if it was a weekday, we’d be hunting for vintage treasures all day long. After check-out tomorrow, I am kidnapping him before our drive home. I Googled a list of shops to tear through after breakfast.

I love suprises. I clicked on a link that opened up my browser page in SAFARI. I haven’t used SAFARI in ages. Well, I rediscovered all of my old bookmarks which ultimately led me to these gems from http://www.lamilk.com/.

I am a magazine addict. I seriously have a problem. I hoard them. If I am in waiting room with a coffee table stacked with good magazines, I will dread being called upon too soon. I’ll even confess that I have recently spent an entire evening on eBay scoping hard to find Fashion/Art/Design imports and no-longer-available back issues. With all that said, I am always happy to get my fix online and for free. You can flip through the entire magazine!

All of my saved images in my FASHION/ART folder flash up on my screensaver. This is one that I’m always happy to see. One of my favorite images from SURFACE2AIR. I always lean towards graphic, scary, jarring images in editorial spreads. The next pictures are ones that I swiped a while back from someone’s mySpace pics page. They are stark, honest, disturbing, overexposed, and wonderful. They have a Juergen Teller feel, -candid but laden with volatile teen angst. She also posted lyrics from HOLE’s Live Through this Album alongside the pictures. The excerpts were very fitting.

Here are my picks. The top image reminds me of a well lit Wong Kar Wai scene. The second is a candid of two off duty models in Paris.

In less than two weeks, I will be leaving for Pagosa Springs, Colorado. Brian, myself and his family will be driving there. We had the option to fly but opted for this instead. Really, when will I have the opportunity to road trip again? I’m looking forward to all the picture taking along the way. I am sure that the change of scenery will give me creative fuel.

-I refuse to believe that this is Felicity-

I was doing my normal blog rounds and very early into the hunt, came across something distracting. FELICITY. That’s right. I always used to get her and that Noxema girl confused. The folks at DETAILS magazine are responsible for this. When I say this I mean, her comeback. Everything from the hotel floor, the Louboutins, the smokey eyes say more Vanessa Paradis than – Keri. I prefer this look. Plus, I’m a sucker for the teddy bears.

For more pictures from Keri’s DETAILS shoot.
